Be Sure to Use a Leaf Trap Canister

Many pool owners use a Leaf Trap Canister along with their suction pool cleaner to collect the debris picked up by the cleaner. Of course when the canister gets full it needs to be emptied so the cleaner will continue to do its job. But sometimes it is very hard to remove the canister lid. Here's a small tip to fix that annoying problem.

With the canister top removed, notice the canister lid with o-ring. Simply lubricate the leaf canister o-ring with some silicone lubricant for swimming pools. Be generous with the lubricant, it won't hurt anything. After lubricating the o-ring, the canister lid will be very easy to remove and won't cause you any more grief!
