If the head float develops a crack that allows water to fill the float, it gets heavy and the cleaner will run on its side. Remove the float and if it is filled with water, replace it. 2 - the pool cleaner bag is filled with debris making it heavy and causing the cleaner to lean to the side. 3 - the polaris g52 backup valve is not working properly. If the G54 Backup Valve Case has a crack in it, the valve won't cycle properly and it will constantly be exerting reverse pressure on the cleaner causing it to lean to one side.
