The Kreepy Krauly is a very reliable product when cared for properly and given a little attention when needed. For most situations, the following tips will help identify why the cleaner has stopped moving. Sufficient Suction? - the most common reason the Kreepy Krauly Pool Cleaner stops moving and pulsating is a lack of suction getting to the cleaner. A quick tip to determine the amount of suction getting to the cleaner: with the pool pump on, separate the last hose connected to the Kreepy Krauly while holding the hose under water and feel with your hand the amount of suction. If there is good suction at the last hose, there is most likely enough suction getting to the cleaner. If weak suction is detected, this could be the problem. Working backwards to the pool pump from there, check the following items. If you have an in-line leaf trap, make sure it is empty. Check the skimmer basket and pump basket to make sure they are not clogged with debris causing restricted water flow. With the pool pump on, observe the pump strainer pot to confirm it is filling with water and you can see good water flow. Kreepy Krauly Clogged? - if it was determined that there is enough suction to the cleaner, the next step would be to make sure the Kreepy Krauly itself is not clogged with debris restricting the flapper from moving. It doesn't take much to jam the flapper. A small stick, toy, or piece of clothing can easily get trapped in the flapper causing this problem. With equipment off, remove the Kreepy Krauly from the pool and inspect it for small debris. Flush with a garden hose if necessary. Main Drain Closed? - if the Kreepy Krauly is stopped on the main drain, check all valves to make sure the suction from the main drain is turned off. Since suction pool cleaners already vacuum the bottom of the pool, the main drain can be off. If there is too much suction from the main drain, the Kreepy Krauly and main drain will be fighting each other and get stuck together due to the suction from both. When the Kreepy Krauly Pool Cleaner has stopped dead in the pool and isn't moving, there usually is a simple reason. If the tips described above don't help solve the problem, contact a pool service professional or a local pool store for further help.
